Partizan defeated Buducnost away by 89:83 in the ABA League’s 25th round while Mega defeated Split.
The first half was marked by an extremely efficient game and high-quality performance from both sides. Both teams were eager to deliver an excellent offensive display. After the first 20 minutes, the score was tied at 44:44, ensuring uncertainty in the continuation of the game.
The third and fourth quarters didn’t bring a worse performance. Although Partizan had a nine-point lead at one point, Buducnost quickly returned and secured a dramatic finish. When it was most needed, Zach LeDay scored five points in the final moments and decided the game in favor of the visitors.
The top scorers for the winners were LeDay with 22 points and Kevin Punter with 19, while Fletcher Magee led the home team with 17.
In the next round, Buducnost will visit Studentski centar, while Partizan will host Zadar.
Mega defeated Split at home by 92:78 securing their 15th win of the season
After this triumph, Mega equalized with Cedevita Olimpija on the table. Marko Barac’s team had already secured a playoff spot, and after the last round, their position in the playoffs will be determined. On the other hand, Split has the same number of wins as Studentski centar, who has one game less and will play against Crvena Zvezda tomorrow.
Nikola Djurisic led Mega with 31 points, Stefan Miljenovic contributed 20, and Andrija Jelavic added 12 points. On the other side, Derek Fundenburk scored 25, Toni Perkovic 14, and Shannon Shorter 11 points.
In the last round, Mega will play away against Igokea, while Split will host Crvena Zvezda.
