Zadar secured their 12th win in the ABA League, defeating Split by 77:61 under the guidance of coach Danijel Jusup.
In the middle of the first quarter, the Zadar team started strong, managing to establish a double-digit lead. However, towards the end of the period, Split managed to narrow the gap, reducing it to six points. The second quarter saw back-and-forth play. The home team gained a nine-point lead, but with a 6:0 run, Split closed the deficit to just three points. However, with a 10:0 run towards the end of the first half, Jusup’s team went into halftime with a comfortable 13-point lead.
The outcome of the game was practically settled at the start of the second half. The home team continued their excellent performance, extending their lead to 23 points. They maintained their dominance throughout the third quarter, leading 63:40 by its end. The final ten minutes didn’t bring much excitement, as Zadar comfortably maintained their lead, finishing the job with ease.
Lovro Mazalin led his team to win with 21 points, while Boris Tisma scored 12 points for Split.
This win marks the 12th win of the season for Zadar, who will look for another win in the upcoming round when they face Zadar at home.
On the other hand, Split suffered their 12th loss and will aim to improve their impression against Mornar in the next game.
