Zadar secured its first away win of the season. In the fourth round of the ABA League, Daniel Jusup’s team defeated Krka in Novo Mesto with a score of 88:75.
Zadar had a strong start to the game. Through solid defensive plays, they managed to pull ahead, leading 11:3. The home team responded with a 12:3 run, turning the game around. Towards the end of the first quarter, Dario Dreznjak came alive, sinking two three-pointers to help his team establish a seven-point lead.
Zadar continued with excellent gameplay. At the beginning of the second quarter, they extended their lead to 14 points. Krka made a brief comeback, reducing the deficit to nine points at one point. However, with a 14:0 run, the guests built a substantial lead. At halftime, Jusup’s team was in control with a 48:26 advantage.
Throughout the game, Zadar maintained their lead. Krka struggled to find their rhythm and make a comeback. The visiting team had complete control of the match, at one point leading by 27 points. The end of the third period favored the home team, bringing them within 19 points of the lead.
At the start of the final quarter, Krka attempted to narrow the gap further, reducing it to a 15-point deficit at one point. However, with long-range shots, Zadar thwarted the rival’s surge and secured the win.
Luka Bozic led his team to the triumph with 24 points and nine assists, while Karlo Zganec added 23. Leon Stergar led the home team with 23 points.
Krka remains at one win and will face Mornar in the next round. Zadar is now at 2:2 and will seek their third consecutive victory on their home court against Cibona.
