Zalgiris managed to advance to the semifinals of the Lithuanian Cup, and the rematch against Wolves ended in a peculiar 82:82 draw, which is quite unusual in basketball.
Zalgiris advances to the semifinals thanks to a comfortable win in the first game by 95:76.
The visitors needed a win by a margin of 20 points to advance to the semifinals, but they were nowhere near achieving that feat. Nevertheless, they played an evenly matched game on the road, fought until the end, and ultimately, in football terms, secured a draw with a three-pointer from Eigirdas Zukauskas.
Keenan Evans, Kevarrius Hayes, and Laurynas Birutis each contributed 14 points in the winning team. On the other side, Jeff Taylor was the leading scorer with 21 points, followed by Eigirdas Zukauskas with 16 points.
In the next round of the EuroLeague, Zalgiris will be visiting Partizan.
