In the 30th round of the Lithuanian Basketball League, Zalgiris easily secured a convincing win against Juventus at home by 92:62.
Zalgiris head coach Andrea Trinchieri was more than upset when one journalist suggested that his players were on vacation during the game against Wolves in the previous round. A few days later, they proved otherwise, and Juventus felt it on their own skin.
From the start, Zalgiris set a strong pace, and by halftime, they practically had the win secured, leading 49:34. They didn’t stop there, allowing their opponent to score only seven points in the third quarter, leading by a whopping 32 points going into the final quarter, 73:41. In the fourth quarter, the visiting team managed to play evenly, but they ultimately left with a 30-point deficit.
Tomas Dimsa led the winners with 16 points, followed by Kevarrius Hayes with 14, and Demetre Rivers with 13 points. On the other side, Ryan Taylor scored 13 points, and Ajdin Penava added eight.
