Zeljko Obradovic has shared his expectations ahead of the sixth round of the EuroLeague, in which Partizan will be visiting Baskonia.
The accomplished coach emphasizes that Baskonia is bound to show a reaction, primarily due to the arrival of their new head coach, Dusko Ivanovic.
“We’re heading to Vitoria to play against a team that’s dealing with certain injury issues, but we expect a reaction due to the change in coaching staff, especially because the new coach, who knows us well, is in charge. However, what’s important is that we’re going to Spain with great motivation after two outstanding games against our big rival. There’s no doubt that they’ll also show a high level of motivation because every game in the EuroLeague is significant,” said Zeljko Obradovic, adding:
“We’ve talked to the players about finding the energy and motivation because everything quickly fades away, both victories and defeats, as a new opponent is already waiting.”
Last season, the black and whites played exceptionally well against Baskonia on the road, but ultimately fell after overtime.
“We played a good game, but we ended up in overtime and lost. That’s a forgotten story. This is a new Baskonia, and we know how they play. They have a new coach who will try to bring something new, but more importantly than how they will look is how we will perform.”
