Zeljko Obradovic has expressed expectations ahead of the EuroLeague game in Round 21 between Partizan and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The highly decorated coach mentioned how the ‘Pride of Israel‘ has numerous qualities, and his team is surely expecting a tough game.
“Maccabi Tel Aviv has it all easy; they are always in Belgrade, no traveling involved (laughs). I watched the game they played against Virtus; both the coach and the players’ comments were about how they positively reacted after a convincing defeat to Fenerbahce. We expect such Maccabi Tel Aviv; they have quality, players who can play well one-on-one, and offensive rebounding has been their trademark for years,” said Zeljko Obradovic, adding:
“We talked with the players, showed them a lot from the game against Fenerbahce two days ago… We’ll see how it all looks against Maccabi Tel Aviv. The game is important for us, there are 14 rounds left, and each upcoming game for us is a kind of mini-final.”
In training, for the first time after the injury, Aleksa Avramovic could be seen (who, of course, will not play for the black and whites for some time), while Alen Smailagic will be ready for the game against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The game between Partizan and Maccabi Tel Aviv is scheduled for Friday starting at 8:30 PM (Stark Arena).
