Zeljko Obradovic spoke before the team’s trip to Munich, where they will face Bayern.
Ahead of the new EuroLeague duel, the accomplished coach commented on the Bavarians, emphasizing that the scouting has been well done, and the black and white team aims to stop two main weapons of Pablo Laso’s team.
“Another EuroLeague game, we know them very well, we’ve done scouting. The team plays in a similar way to Fenerbahce, with a lot of three-point shots, and they are the best team when it comes to offensive rebounds.
It’s crucial for us to stop the three-point shot and secure the basket afterward. Other important things are that they play different defenses, and they will try to surprise us. I personally think they will change defenses after each timeout,” started Zeljko Obradovic.
“We don’t have time to dwell on what we did in the last game. Every new game is new, there’s no time to suffer or celebrate. So, you prepare the game in the best possible way, which you think is necessary, both for us and for them.”
On Pablo Laso
“Every coach leaves a mark. He started working this season; he needs time, but Pablo’s way of working is known. He was recognizable at Real Madrid, and now, some ideas are visible at Bayern. The roster is different, but some of his themes are recognizable.”
Frank Kaminsky emphasized that his team’s performance must be better, and they cannot afford to wait until the fourth quarter to start playing.
“It’s a good chance for us to win on the road. We’re playing against a very good team, and we have to play our style of basketball and do it consistently. We have to play very well. We just need to play better.
We can’t wait until the fourth quarter to get going. Both of those games are similar, and we haven’t played with the right energy. We can take something from those losses. We’ll fight, and we have to play better throughout the entire game.”
