Zeljko Obradovic, Partizan’s coach spoke ahead of the game against Milano in the context of the EuroLeague and the 13th round.
Obradovic and his team achieved a 6-6 record in the elite competition after a win against Monaco. On the other hand, Ettore Messina’s squad is not in a good situation with only four wins.
“We watched last night’s game they played. They played very well, had a chance to win but lost in overtime to Bayern. It’s a quality team despite some absences. Except for Kyle Hines, they have players who can all shoot threes. It’s crucial how we react defensively to pick-and-pop situations.
Shavon Shields is dominant, both in shooting percentages for two and three points. There’s also Maodo Lo, who has shown he can play fantastically, Voigtmann and Melli, who rotate at the ‘four’ and ‘five’ positions, the aggressiveness they get from other players in defense. These are all things we discussed,” said Zeljko Obradovic.
“It is clear that energy will be crucial, that we will seek freshness from players who didn’t play much against Monaco, and we will seek support from our phenomenal fans, asking them to cheer for us and ensure fair and sportsmanlike conduct.”
“We had a practice, some didn’t even participate in “five on five,” but I hope that tomorrow morning there will be a clearer picture, and the team will perform as they did against Monaco. Kaminsky and Trifunovic will definitely not be in the lineup,” concluded Obradovic.
