Aleksandar Petrovic has returned to coaching duties after taking charge of the Brazilian national team once again, aiming to lead them to Paris.
After spending two years without an engagement, he has returned to a familiar place where he worked from 2017 until 2021. The novelty this time is that a well-known name and NBA champion, Tiago Splitter, will be joining him on the coaching staff.
“I’m truly happy and proud to return to the position of Brazil’s head coach. It’s time to fully focus on the qualification tournament and secure our spot at the Paris Olympics,” said Aleksandar Petrovic.
From July 2nd to 7th, Brazil will compete in the qualifiers in Riga. They will be placed in a group with Montenegro and Cameroon, while on the other side are Latvia, Georgia, and the Philippines.
Showing that he leaves nothing to chance, Petrovic shared a photo in the early morning hours where he had already held a meeting with the representatives of the “eternal rivals.” This refers to the duo Yago dos Santos – Bruno Caboclo.
“The first contacts have already been established,” the photo caption reads.
