Bayern secured a win on away court against Wurzburg by 90:82 in the 29th round of the Bundesliga, securing their 23rd win.
Wurzburg trailed throughout the entire game but managed to reduce the deficit to six points before the fourth quarter. However, that was all they could do as Pablo Laso’s team immediately elevated their game, built a double-digit lead, and comfortably closed out the game.
Leandro Bolmaro, with 16 points, and Carsen Edwards, with 14 points, were instrumental in the win. Even the fantastic performance of Otis Livingston, who scored 31 points couldn’t help the hosts.
Bayern is currently the top-ranked team in the Bundesliga with a record of 23-4, while Wurzburg holds the fourth position with 20 wins and 8 losses.
Alba Berlin, the other EuroLeague team, had a similar but less efficient encounter against Syntainics on the road. Israel Gonzalez’s squad emerged victorious by 76:67 in a game that didn’t start favorably for them.
They trailed 22:16 after the initial 10 minutes but managed to find their rhythm as the game progressed. However, the home team didn’t back down. They brought the game into suspense before the fourth quarter, where the Berlin team showcased their class and sealed the win.
Kresimir Nikic and Matt Thomas led the scoring with 11 points each, matching Vincent Edwards‘ performance for the home team.
