Then he turned his attention to the Atlanta Hawks, who ended their NBA competition with a loss to the Chicago Bulls in the play-in.
“I’m not sure if we sacrificed enough as individuals for the team. When I was part of successful teams, that was the main thing. More sacrifice for teammates. Sometimes doing something we don’t like. Maybe we’re too focused on individual statistics. Sometimes we compete against each other, sometimes it can be good… sometimes not so much.
Maybe we don’t value good defense. We all want to score, we want to be scorers. People in basketball appreciate me because I love to fight and compete, that’s why I say these things. We didn’t have chemistry, we just didn’t. I saw that some lacked that extra motivation to win games.”
He had something else to add.
“Sometimes we don’t agree as individuals. I have experience not agreeing with someone, but we have to be professionals. We don’t have to talk, but we can always get the job done on the court,” Bogdanovic concluded.
