Jamal Murray made history last night with his game-winning shot, etching his name into the NBA playoff record books.
The Denver Nuggets sealed the series against the Los Angeles Lakers with Jamal Murray’s shot with 3.6 seconds left last night. The final score was 4-1, and the Nuggets handed the Lakers their 12th defeat in the last 13 matchups between the two teams.
Jamal Murray was the hero of the game when he hit a shot from mid-range over Austin Reaves with 3.6 seconds left. It was his second game-winning shot of the series. The first one was the epic buzzer-beater over Anthony Davis.
Murray, you have to admit, wasn’t as dominant in this series as he was last year when he sometimes seemed unstoppable. Still, he performed at a high level last night, scoring 32 points with seven assists.
Jamal Murray is now the only player in the play-by-play era (1997-98) to score two game-winning field goals in the final five seconds of a playoff series.
