Frank Kaminsky, after spending eight years in the NBA, has decided to cross the Atlantic and join Partizan Belgrade.
Frank Kaminsky was selected as the ninth overall pick in the first round of the NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets after spending four years at the University of Wisconsin. He had his best performances during his second NBA season when he played for the Hornets. That season he averaged 11.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
After four seasons with the Charlotte Hornets, Kaminsky moved to the Phoenix Suns, where he spent three seasons. It seemed like Frank was on track to return to his recognizable form. But after that comes episodes with the Atlanta Hawks and the Houston Rockets were far below expectations.
Prior to the acquisition of Kaminsky, Partizan Belgrade secured signings such as Ognjen Jaramaz, Mateusz Ponitka, and P.J. Dozier, who has pledged to a one-year collaboration with the esteemed black and white squad.
Kaminsky was once under consideration for a national team call-up by former national team coach, Igor Kokoskov, which is noteworthy.
“I mentioned him to one of your colleagues from the Kings media earlier, and I’m glad you brought it up. I know that Kaminsky has some Serbian roots, probably from his mother’s side. I don’t know the exact details, I’ll share that with my colleagues in the locker room. If we’re talking about that broader list, anyone with that potential has the right to be considered.” – Igor Kokoškov stated for KOŠ magazine.
