Oklahoma City Thunder recorded their fifth consecutive win in the NBA league, easily defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 134:91.
For years, Oklahoma was one of the worst teams in the league, but this season, the Thunder are not to be taken lightly. They have risen to the second spot in the West, ahead of the defending champions Denver and behind the Western Conference leaders, Minnesota.
Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the leader of Oklahoma. After two consecutive wins against Golden State in San Francisco, the game against the Blazers was like an easy training session. The team’s best player played only 22 and a half minutes and managed to score 28 points, with an impressive shooting percentage of 77% (10/13). He was followed by Isaiah Joe with 15, Aron Wiggins with 13, and Luguentz Dort and Lindy Waters with 12 points each.
STwo Serbians have had cameo roles at the start of the championship. Double European champion with Anadolu Efes, and for years one of the best players in Europe, Vasilije Micic, played only six minutes and 19 seconds. He didn’t score and attempted one shot, managing one assist. o far, it doesn’t seem to be a promising start in the best basketball league in the world.
Aleksej Pokusevski played more, eight and a half minutes, scored five points (including one three-pointer), and even gathered four assists. For Portland, Jerami Grant was the most effective with 14 points.
