Sarunas Jasikevicius, Fenerbahce’s head coach, spoke before the game against Monaco, regarding the EuroLeague Game 2 of the quarterfnals.
Fenerbahce secured a crucial win in the first game of this series. They managed to erase a double-digit deficit and take the lead.
“After a great win in the first game, we need to have a total reset and we need to match the physicality and the wish off of Monaco. For sure, they want to make the series 1-1. We need to also understand the things that we did good in the first game and how we didn’t do well.
The game plan will be the same more or less; just to keep things more difficult for their guards and battle the physicality of the inside game and to continue giving a different looks to the opponent,” said Sarunas Jasikevicius.
One of the heroes of Fenerbahce’s win, Nate Sestina, also shared his expectations.
“Game 2 is just as important if not more important than game one. We’ve kind of talked about it, it’s a desperate basketball game for for them as well. We need to have a level of focus that surpasses last game, pay attention to details, fine tune everything, and come in really ready to go with more focus than Game 1.”
The second game of this series will be played on Friday at 7:00 PM.
