Slovenia could potentially strengthen its roster for the Olympic Games qualifying tournament with the addition of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s center, Josh Nebo.
Josh Nebo holds citizenship from the United States and Nigeria, but due to financial issues within the Nigerian basketball federation, he was unable to compete for a spot in the AfroBasket 2025 (they withdrew from the qualifiers).
The information regarding Slovenia’s interest in adding Maccabi Tel Aviv’s center to their team was first reported by BasketNews. It’s worth noting that the last two Americans in Slovenia’s lineup were Mike Tobey and Jordan Morgan.
Slovenia will face Greece, the Dominican Republic, Croatia, New Zealand, and Egypt in the qualifying tournament in Greece from July 2nd to July 7th.
Josh Nebo concluded the regular season in the EuroLeague with averages of 11.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
