Anthony Edwards played another fantastic game last night in the Minnesota Timberwolves’ win over the Phoenix Suns.
In the win against Frank Vogel’s team, Anthony Edwards scored 36 points and grabbed nine rebounds, shooting 12-23 from the field while being perfect from the free-throw line, where he made all 11 attempts.
The team, coached by Chris Finch from the bench, now holds a 3-0 lead in the series, putting them on the brink of advancing to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in 20 seasons, since Kevin Garnett led the “Wolves” to the Western Conference Finals.
With today’s performance, Anthony Edwards has now matched Garnett in terms of the NBA playoff games with 30 or more points for the Timberwolves, both tallying seven such performances. However, Garnett played 33 more games.
Edwards is currently averaging 28 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 2.3 steals in this year’s playoffs, shooting an impressive 49% from the field.
