Ergin Ataman spoke at the press conference after Panathinaikos’ loss against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the first game of the EuroLeague quarterfinals.
Panathinaikos was defeated by 91:87, and the Turkish coach had special complaints about two referee decisions.
“I can’t do anything about the free throws, but we can control turnovers. I think we are a much better team than Maccabi Tel Aviv. Being down 1-0 is nothing special; I promised, and I will fulfill my promise. We’re going to the Final Four. If we fail to reach the Final Four, I won’t be the coach of Panathinaikos anymore,” said Ergin Ataman before leaving the press conference room.
