Ettore Messina, the head coach of Milano, spoke after the defeat against Maccabi Tel Aviv, marking Milano’s farewell to the EuroLeague.
The Italian emphasized that it wasn’t an easy game as they saw the result in Istanbul just before the referees’ tip-off. Nevertheless, Milano played a competitive game.
“It wasn’t an easy game because we knew after a few minutes that Crvena Zvezda was withdrawing from the game. They were already behind against Anadolu Efes after 10 minutes. The players still played, I gave everyone a chance, like Ricci, who returned from injury. Young Bortolani did some good things.
We used them to get back into the game against a brilliant opponent. I wish all the best to Maccabi Tel Aviv, they are playing great and will have a great opportunity in the playoffs,” said Ettore Messina briefly.
