We witnessed an outstanding game in the matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers, where once again Luka Doncic shined.
The Dallas Mavericks did a great job securing a victory against the Los Angeles Clippers on their home court. Even with Kawhi Leonard’s return, it doesn’t seem to bring significant changes to the Los Angeles Clippers’ game, raising questions about his current impact.
The game started better for the visiting team from Los Angeles, and the home team struggled offensively early on. The Clippers’ defense was aggressive, forcing the Dallas Mavericks to score only 18 points. However, the Mavericks had a much better second quarter. Their defense looked phenomenal, allowing the opponent just 18 points while scoring 36 themselves, giving them a double-digit lead at halftime.
It turned out that this sequence was the key to the entire game. The Los Angeles Clippers attempted a comeback in the second half, but the home team’s defense was excellent. They had an answer to every potential surge from the visitors, leading them to a comfortable victory with a final score of 101-90.
Luka Doncic led the winning team with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. Kyrie Irving added 21 points, and Dereck Lively contributed 13 points. On the other side, James Harden and Norman Powell each scored 21 points. Ivica Zubac had an excellent performance with 19 points and eight rebounds.
Interestingly, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George combined for 15 points, shooting 7 out of 18 from the field.
The next game of this NBA series is scheduled for Sunday at 21:30.
