The EuroLeague has officially announced a new record for the premier European competition.
During the regular season of the EuroLeague, a total of over three million people attended games in person, precisely – 3,000,841. The average attendance in arenas was 10,383 spectators, marking an 18% increase compared to the previous season when the average was 8,748.
“Fans have shown more than ever that they want to watch EuroLeague stars in action. We have seen an 18% increase compared to the previous season. Partizan deserves the most credit, leading the competition with an average attendance of 19,916, as well as 99% arena capacity at all home games.
The average arena capacity at regular-season games was 82%, which is a 2% increase from the previous season. Following Partizan, the second team in terms of average attendance is Crvena Zvezda (17,842), followed by Zalgiris (14,773), and Panathinaikos (14,526),” was stated at the press conference held by the EuroLeague.
