Oded Kattash, the head coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv, spoke after his team’s win over Milano in the final round of the EuroLeague.
Although this game didn’t hold any significance in terms of standings, the Israeli team wanted the win. They achieved it and can now calmly await their play-in opponent. It could be either Baskonia or Virtus.
“We talked among ourselves and said that the result wouldn’t change our position. It was a different game, not as intense, more defense than offense. During the game, it was evident that the players wanted the 20th win in the EuroLeague, which is a big thing for us.
Considering the circumstances, it’s even bigger and more special. I’m happy about the win and the players who all contributed. We had three main goals: to keep everyone healthy, to share playing time, and for everyone to contribute,” Oded Kattash stated at the beginning.
