Paulius Jankunas, the renowned Lithuanian player, has become the president of Zalgiris, the club where he spent almost his entire career.
Jankunas has spent his entire career with the team from Kaunas, except for the 2009/10 season when he played for Khimki.
Paulius Jankunas holds the EuroLeague record for the most seasons played, having participated in the premier European competition for a remarkable 18 seasons. Previously, Jankunas served as the general manager of Zalgiris.
The new sports director of Zalgiris will be Gediminas Navickas, also a retired Lithuanian player.
Zalgiris finished this season in 14th place with 14 wins and 20 losses.
