He summarized the second part of the season and praised K.C. Rivers.
“I don’t want to respond to that question. I came here because the team needed help. Such changes usually occur due to poor results. I didn’t make any major changes because first, I need to clean up my own backyard. Great respect to K.C., who has instilled values in this team,” said the Italian.
He was satisfied with the involvement and dedication of the young players and commented on Dovidas Butkus’s performance.
“I believe that Butkus, Montvilas will play in this phase of the season. It’s not easy when your first opponent is Mario Hezonja, but he is excellent and really helps us. I want every youth team player to have the opportunity to compete in the main team,” he positively stated about the youth players.
Trinchieri said that the team’s leaders will have to contribute to the team’s focus for the decisive part of the season in the domestic championship.
“I always try to be objective. It’s really not easy because after such a season, a lot of emotions accumulate. This arena understands basketball and you can’t fool them. The fans truly understand that we are giving our all. We need to focus on the remaining battles. Our leaders, Edgaras Ulanovas and Keenan Evans, will help us with that.”
