In the second half, Virtus comfortably controlled the game and secured their 18th victory of the season. Tornike Shengelia led the winners with 16 points, while Ante Zizic added one point less along with nine rebounds. Daniel Hackett and Iffe Lundberg both contributed 12 points each, and Ognjen Dobrić scored two points.
For Neven Spahija’s team, Max Heidegger was the top scorer with 16 points, followed by Rayjon Tucker with 14 points.
Milano was secure at home against Trento by 91:86.
The guests started the game much better and won the first quarter 33:20. However, step by step, Ettore Messina’s team managed to come back. They played excellent defense in the final quarter, winning that part of the game 22:13 and securing a valuable win.
Nicolo Melli led the hosts to win with 16 points, while Nikola Mirotic and Shabazz Napier each contributed 15 points. Kamar Baldwin dominated for Trento with 24 points, while Davide Alviti scored 16 points.
With this win, Milano equalized with Virtus on the table, both with 18 wins and 8 losses, while Trento sits eighth with 13 wins and 13 losses.
In the next round, Milano will play away against Treviso, while Trento will host Tortona.
